Covid case rates rise in North Lincolnshire as Christmas approaches

Covid case rates continue to rise in North Lincolnshire with the current rate standing at 430.7 cases per 100,000 people.

In the seven days from Friday 3 to Thursday 9 December, 760 people had a confirmed, positive Covid-19 test, an increase of 7.2 percent compared to the previous seven days.

Government data also shows that, by the end of Wednesday 8 December,130, 007 people had been given their first vaccine and 119,479 people had been given their second.

Three people were admitted into hospital on Sunday 5 December and 24 people in total were admitted in the week leading up to that date.

The total amount of people in hospital with coronavirus now stands at 60 (as of Tuesday 7 December).

However, over the last seven days, there have been no deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test.
