Mariners add depth with exciting winger Maguire-Drew
Grimsby Town have announced the signing of winger Jordan Maguire-Drew following his release from Woking.
The 24-year-old has signed an 18-month deal, expiring in the Summer of 2023.
He is available for Grimsby’s next game, a trip to another of his former sides, Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday afternoon.
Jordan was released by Woking after making only seven appearances this season, scoring once and providing one assist.
Before joining Woking, he was a main-stay in the Leyton Orient National League winning side, making 73 appearances and scoring 12 goals in all for the O’s.
It is hoped that he will provide much-needed depth to the Grimsby wide areas as Joel Grant and Sean Scannell continue their road to full match fitness.
With Max Wright also out and with a torrid injury record, Maguire-Drew’s signing should ease the minds of many Mariners fans.
Paul Hurst has delved into the transfer market recently following a tremulous run of form, including defeats to Wealdstone, Solihull Moors and Aldershot Town.
He recently added Bristol City forward Sam Bell to the ranks on a short-term loan, who showed glimpses of promise in his debut against Solihull Moors last week.
