Woman, 53, arrested on suspicion of assault after man treated for “serious head injury”
Following an incident which took place on Sixhills Street at 10pm last night (Thursday 30 September), a 53-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of class A drugs.
A man has also been taken to hospital to be treated for what has been described as a “serious head injury”.
Today, the Crime Scene Investigation team have been in attendance at the property, which is located on the corner of Sixhills Street and Convamore Road.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers are currently investigating a reported assault after we were called to an incident on Sixhills Street, Grimsby at approximately 10:00pm yesterday (Thursday 30 September).
“A man was taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious head injury which is thankfully not thought to be life threatening.
“A 53-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of A class drugs and remains in police custody.
“A scene guard was put in place whilst officers continue with lines of enquiry.
