Leading mental health services provider NAViGO appoints new Chief Executive
NAViGO has appointed Simon Beeton as its new chief executive, the local mental health services provider has announced.
After working for the company since its formation in 2011 and with over 25 years’ experience working in mental health, Simon will take over the role from Jane Lewington, who will now become chair of the board.
Simon said: “It’s a huge honour for me to take on the role of chief executive. I feel extremely proud to lead NAViGO, an organisation I am so passionate about, so much so that my wife refers to it as my third child!
“Having been at NAViGO since its formation, I’ve seen how far we have come, what we have achieved and the positive impact we have had on the local community.
“But I also know that there is so much more we’d like to do and I’m looking forward to working on behalf of our amazing staff, service users, carers and partner organisations to further improve and enhance our services while continuing to provide high-quality care to the people who need our support.”
He added: “The NHS has been through unprecedented challenges over the last 18 months and we’re certain to see an impact on the demand for our services going forward.
“We’re committed to meeting and responding to those challenges head on.”
We interviewed Simon back in May to mark Mental Health Awareness Week, to discuss the prevalence of mental health issues in today’s society and how you can reach out for help if you are struggling.
