North East Lincolnshire Mayor to aid charities with evening of fun

The Mayor of North East Lincolnshire is set to host a charity event in the form of an evening of live music, fish and chips and a raffle.

From 7:00pm to midnight, the Mayor will be welcoming the public to the event at Grimsby Town Hall on Saturday 30 October in a bid to aid his chosen charities.

The money raised will go towards Andy’s, Harbour Place and CatZero.

Tickets cost £15 each which will pay for the live band, Route 180, the supper and the raffle.

There will also be a paid bar open to guests.

Councillor David Hasthorpe said: “I’m very much looking forward to putting on a night of entertainment, all in aid of some wonderful charities.

“For many, it will be the first really good night out since the beginning of lockdowns and many have said it will be great to have something to look forward to.

“This is a very welcomed night out after everything has been closed for so long – a chance to renew friendships.

“It will be a fun night of live music and delicious food. So please dig deep for charity and come along for an evening of entertainment.”

This is not the first time the Mayor of North East Lincolnshire has raised money for charity.

Just last month, he did some skydiving to raise money for St Andrew’s Hospice.

If anybody is interested in attending October’s event, you can email civic.office@nelincs.gov.uk.

All proceeds from the event (from the tickets and the raffle) will go directly to the Mayor’s chosen charities.
