Scunthorpe residential home rated ‘inadequate’ by CQC closed it’s doors back in May
A Scunthorpe care home has closed after The CQC (Care Quality Commission) deemed it ‘unsafe’.
The CQC reported: “The care centre was not safe, the service was not effective, the service was not always caring, the service was not always responsive, and the service was not well-led.”
Grafton House Residential Home on Ashby Road has been forced to close after the CQC deemed it ‘unsafe’ back in May.
It provided accommodation for up to 24 adults but inspectors found that residents “were not protected from abuse”.
A spokesperson for the CQC went on to add: “We are aware that the provider gave notice to the local authority who were responsible for moving existing residents to alternative accommodation in May.
“The service is now closed and we are aware that the premises is currently on the market.”
