Curly’s Athletes Supermile run at Normanby Hall
On Friday evening Curly’s Athletes hosted their seventh Supermile run at Normanby Hall, set in an idyllic 300 acre estate in the heart of North Lincolnshire.
It was a chance for runners competing to get their best time trialled mile run!
The youngest competitor was 5 and the most experienced runner was 84.
The fastest male on the night was Oliver Donkin in 4 mins 25 secs and fastest female was one of the junior runners Katie Betts in 5 mins 34 secs.
The event is aimed for everyone to have a go at their fastest mile and on the night the runners were categorised into different waves based on their ability and target to give everyone their best opportunity.

Curly’s Athletes Supermile provided cake and water for all athletes at the finish line outside the front of the hall!
Jono, the race director and stated: “It was great to be back for the Supermile, after last years’ event was cancelled, due to Covid. Everyone was really supportive of each other, and it was a fantastic event to be part of. It was lovely to see so many children getting involved- there are definitely some future champions to watch out for!”

The next event planned is the Hedgehog Half Marathon on the 3rd October 2021.
This all on road which starts and finishes in the beautiful grounds of Normanby Hall Country Park.
The event supports Andrews Hedgehog Hospital – and you guessed it, everything is hedgehog themed!
