Planning submitted for the Crosby Hotel
Planning has gone to consultation stage to transform what was the Crosby Hotel on Normanby Road in Scunthorpe.
The plans are to erect eight two-bedroomed dwellings and two three-bedroomed dwellings and associated works.

The Crosby Hotel was built in 1910, it was built for the People’s Refreshment Houses Association Limited. It would open officially on the 11th May 1911.
The genius behind one of Scunthorpes most stylish buildings were Mortimer and Son, they had designed it in the Edwardian Style.
Bowling greens, a tennis court and even a rose garden were once part of this beautiful place. The Crosby had a public bar, billiards rooms, a dining room that was wood panelled and a first floor ballroom.
The 16 bedroom Edwardian building officially closed its doors in 2008.
