By Humberside Police have received a report of a young male approx in his 20’s, slim build with dark hair cold calling at addresses within the Crosby and Park Ward claiming to be from a charity and trying to sell items on their behalf.
This person has stated that Probation are aware and the more items he sold, the more points he would get.
Police have conducted checks with Probation and other Partnership Agencies and they have advised that they do NOT know anything about this and believe it to be SCAM.
Please be vigilant at all times and never open the door to a stranger without asking for ID. If you have any concerns whatsoever, then please ring Humberside Police on the 101 telephone number.
