Snow disrupts A180 Pyewipe roundabout works
Scheduled work which should have begun today has now been delayed until Wednesday due to significant snowfall in the region.
Works beginning on Wednesday are expected to last between 8am and 5pm, and the roundabout will be reduced to one lane during these hours as works enter their final stage.
Feeder pillars and electrical works will be taking place within the central island across the westbound carriageway for one day.
The installation of the VMS will also take place, according to a statement issued by North East Lincolnshire Council.
Works will be managed and overseen by the council’s regeneration partner, ENGIE, with local contractor, McCann Ltd, carrying out the works.
Once complete, the VMS will allow the council and ENGIE to display messages to drivers at the roundabout advising of roadworks, events or congestion on the highway network.
