Bottesford Town FC helping fight hunger in our community

Bottesford Town FC are working hard to to bring the community together to fight hunger during this pandemic.

‘At Bottesford Town Football Club our local community is at the heart of everything we do. We are constantly thinking of ways we can benefit our community and are proud to be starting up a great initiative to help those who aren’t able to access food during this pandemic.’

Joe Jordan, a student from John Leggott college studying media, is currently on work experience when the idea came to him.  Joe then raised the idea to Tyler Westwood, commercial & marketing manager for BTFC, who helped bring the idea to life. Jawad Ali, another student, also helped by putting together the graphics and marketing campaign.

Tyler said ‘The turnout on Saturday was great to see and we have put ourselves in a fantastic position to start distributing food parcels to members of our community. I would like to thank everyone who donated and encourage people to donate what they can on the 30th or via our crowd funder. No one should be going hungry and we are going to do our best to help where we can.’

The next collection day is on Saturday 30th January 2:30pm – 5:30pm

Donations to be dropped off at The Barrett Steel Stadium, Ontario Road, Scunthorpe, DN17 2TQ
