£1.5m in drugs discovered by police in Grimsby
Officers for Humberside Police’s Roads Crime Team discovered 20kg of drugs with street value of £1.5million when they stopped a vehicle in Grimsby.
The team intercepted the vehicle connected to the supply of drugs on Friday.
The find was announced via Twitter, where police released photographs of the massive haul.
A spokesperson for the force wrote:
“During a multi agency operation in Grimsby on Friday 23/10/20 Humberside #roadscrimeteam stop a vehicle involved in drug supply.
“2 males arrested and over 20kg of drugs with a street value of over 1.5 Million pounds recovered. #nobail #214.”
Humberside Police’s Operation Galaxy continues to tackle drug related crime in the Humber region.
Two men were arrested as a result of Friday’s vehicle search and as part of a multi-agency police operation.
They have not been granted bail.
