Manhunt for wanted Scunthorpe man
As local police activity is ramped up, Humberside Police have launched a search for wanted Scunthorpe man Mark Johnson.
Johnson, 25, is wanted in connection with reports of an assault in August.
Since Humberside Police intensified their activity across the Humber region at the end of last month, some 489 arrests have been made.
The team have also been carrying out high-visibility patrols in hotspot areas in attempts to tackle antisocial behaviour and other crimes.
Officers have been conducting arrest attempts for outstanding suspects wanted on prison recall or for offences such as failing to appear at court.
One man has been arrested on suspicion of domestic abuse.
Now, the force are pursuing wanted man Mark Johnson in relation to allegations of assault last month.
As part of a social media appeal, a spokesperson for the force said:
“Can you help us find wanted man Mark Johnson (25) from Scunthorpe?
“Anyone with information that may help us locate him is asked to call our non-emergency 101 line quoting crime reference 16/90207/20.
“Alternatively if you would prefer to report information anonymously you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
