Knifepoint attack near Westward Ho

Humberside Police are investigating an attempted robbery in Grimsby after a man was attacked at knifepoint near Westward Ho.

The incident is said to have occurred in the early hours of Sunday 28 June

Officers have launched a public appeal and are urging witnesses to get in touch.

A man was walking on the footpath between Westward Ho and Littlefield Lane at around 1.30am when he was approached by another man.

The suspect then allegedly demanded his phone and wallet before assaulting him with a knife.

The suspect is described as a male around 5ft 6ins tall with dark curly hair and dark facial stubble.

He reportedly had mud on his face and was wearing dirty blue jeans, a black puffa jacket zipped up to his chin and a black cap.

The victim suffered what are thought to be minor injuries to his arm in the incident.
