Council to install new crossing

North East Lincolnshire Council are to install a new pedestrian crossing point on Bluestone Lane in Immingham, it has been announced.

The decision follows a public petition and calls from local residents to improve road safety.

Works are set to begin on Monday 6 July.

Local residents started a petition to install a crossing point at the junction between Roval Drive and Stainton Drive to improve road safety and create a safe crossing point for school children to access the nearby school.

It is expected that the works will take one week to complete with localised traffic management (cones and barriers) in place between 7:30am and 6pm to ensure the safety of those completing the works.

The works will be carried out by North East Lincolnshire Council’s regeneration partner, ENGIE.
