Heatwave heading our way next week
Temperatures are set to soar to 27C in North East Lincolshire next week, with warm and dry spells in store for the country.
Parts of Britain are expected to be as warm as Spain and Portugal.
After a couple of weeks of scattered showers, we can expect temperatures to rise to 24C, before reaching 27C in in some parts of Lincolnshire, on Wednesday.
Warmer weather has arrived in time for summer solstice, highs of 20C are expected in our region today but heavy rain has been forecasted for the early hours of tomorrow.
After Wednesday, temperatures are predicted to stay around 26C.
Met Office deputy chief meteorologist Martin Young reported:
“By the middle of next week we’ll see temperatures across much of England and Wales widely climbing into the mid to high twenties Celsius and it will probably be hot in parts of southern and eastern England, as temperatures peak close to 30 Celsius.”
