By Shocking sexual assault on Scunthorpe schoolgirl
Crimestoppers are appealing for information following a shocking sexual assault on a 16-year-old Scunthorpe schoolgirl.
Now, they are offering a reward of up to £3,000 for key information.
The attack happened on the morning of Tuesday 28 January 2020.
The girl was walking alone on her way to school when she noticed she was being followed by a man who was unknown to her.
As she neared her school at 8.50am on Foxhills Road, the male approached her from behind and smeared an unknown, clear substance across her face, in her eyes and mouth.
He then assaulted her, touching her inappropriately.
The girl screamed and the man ran off in the direction of Reginald Road into a wooded area.
Following the incident, the girl was taken to hospital.
She was not injured, but she remains understandably distressed.
The offender is described as being white and around thirty years old.
He was wearing a baseball cap with a white image or motif, a black-top and trousers with what appeared to be a camouflage pattern on them.
