Police name man who died in Mortal Ash Hill collision
Humberside Police have issued a statement naming the man who tragically died in a collision on Mortal Ash Hill earlier this week.
He has been named as 39-year-old Peter Harris.
The collision took place on Tuesday 2 June shortly before 5pm.
Two cars, a blue Toyota Aygo and a silver Range Rover, collided on Mortal Ash Hill in Scunthorpe, where the dual carriageway becomes a single carriageway.
Mr Harris, the driver of the Toyota, sadly sustained fatal injuries.
Emergency services attended the scene, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the accident, the road was closed for a short while.
A passenger in the Toyota and the driver of the Ranger Rover also sustained injuries in the collision.
Specially trained officers continue to support Mr Harris’ family, who have asked for privacy at this difficult time.
Shortly after the incident, Humberside Police issued an appeal for witnesses and information.
Police have named the man who died in the Mortal Ash Hill collision earlier this week, and the officers investigating have asked anyone that witnessed the collision call 101 quoting log 379 2 June 2020.
