Care home burglary in Grimsby
Following a burglary at a care home on Eaton Court in Grimsby, Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses.
It is thought that the incident took place at around 2:15am on Tuesday 2 June.
Humberside Police received reports that the care home had been broken into, and that the personal belongings, including three handbags and multiple bank cards, of care home workers had been taken from a table in the communal area.
The thief was not inside the building for a sustained period of time and did not encounter any residents or staff, so nobody was harmed in the incident.
Eaton Court Nursing Home is part of the Orchard Care Homes group, who just last week released a heartwarming message of hope, to lift community spirit during these difficult times.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said:
“Whilst we believe this to be an isolated incident, our neighbourhood officers have been offering reassurance to other care homes in the area.
“If you saw anyone suspicious in the area at the time, or have any information that would help with our enquiries, please call our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 33 2 June.”
