High value burglary on South Bridge Road

Following a high value burglary on South Bridge Road in Hull, Officers for Humberside Police are appealing for information.

The offence is thought to have taken place at around 1.15pm on Tuesday 2 of June.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen something or who may have information that might assist with their enquiries.

The shop was broken into and approximately £7,000 worth of cigarettes and tobacco, plus £3,000 cash were stolen.

It is believed that the two suspects were male and wore face coverings and hoods.

Due to the amount of products and cash taken, police believe they will have fled the scene in a vehicle.

A Humberside Police spokesperson said:

“We are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has information about the sale of large quantities of cigarettes to call us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number 16/58952/20.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, information provided to Crimestoppers could lead to a reward and you can remain completely anonymous.”
