Serious incident in Selge Way as ambulance leaves scene

Police and an ambulance crew are dealing with a serious incident, thought to be a stabbing, in Selge Way in Grimsby.

The incident is said to have occurred at a house in Selge Way this afternoon.

There is a high police presence at the scene in an otherwise quiet cul-de-sac on the Bradley Estate.

An ambulance has been seen leaving the scene and police have taped off a house in the close.

There are reports of a stabbing, and it is thought that one person has been seriously injured.

At least five police cars and another paramedic vehicle are in the immediate vicinity.

Humberside Police have confirmed that one woman has been arrested following the alleged stabbing.

A spokesperson for the force said:

“We do believe this to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public and officers are in the area this evening to offer reassurance and carry out enquiries.

“Anyone with information is asked to call us on our non-emergency 101 line quoting log 319 of Thursday 21 May or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
