Heartache as young Cleethorpes woman is left with catastrophic injuries after crash.

Lincolnshire Police appeal for witnesses.

Dayna Wood 19, suffered potentially catastrophic injuries following a car crash on February 6th near Market Rasen. The popular teenager who is believed to live in Cleethorpes with her long-term boyfriend was initially in a coma following the accident. Dayna was initially in a coma following the accident she is no longer in a coma. But it is feared that she may have suffered brain damage as a result of the accident. It is believed that she is currently in a dream state and has brain stem trauma. Dayna is originally from Nottinghamshire has received many many well wishes from family and friends all sending her love and wishing her a speedy recovery.

She was driving a Fiat 500 on the A157 Burgh-on -Bain in Market Rasen when she was involved in a collision with a Volvo and a van at the junction with the B1225. The driver of the Volvo and driver and passenger of the van received minor injuries.

Lincolnshire Police are making a fresh appeal urging witnesses to come forward with information and any dashcam footage. The accident happened on Thursday February 6th at around 4.20pm. Call 101 quoting reference number 276 of February 6th. Alternatively, email the control room on control@lincs.pnn.police.uk with 276 of February 6th as the subject.
