More parking nightmares at hospital car park.
A cancer patient has been left with a £35 fine for parking on the grass verge. Because the barrier to the car park lets cars in even when there are no available spaces.
The patient was left driving around the car park of Diana Princess of Wales Hospital for many minutes looking for a space. When he saw a car leave a space on a grassy area he reacted quickly and parked in the space before heading to his appointment. When he returned he found the £35 for not parking wholly within a designated parking bay.
Cars are let through the barriers into the car park even when there are no spaces to prevent queues building. Most visitors to the hospital think because they have been let in to the car park, that there are spaces available. After driving around trying to park they are then made late for appointments.
There have been many complaints about the parking at the hospital some of them have been about the capacity and drivers being forced to park on grass verges.
