Serious accident near Great Cotes.
Police closed Aylesby Road off after a serious accident which happened just after 7 pm last night. The accident happened on the road from Great Coates to the A18 Barton Street.
Paramedics and firefighters attended the scene. It is thought that one car was involved which left the road and went into a ditch. The driver an adult male managed to release himself from the car.
But a second male who was trapped was released using hydraulic cutting gear and stability equipment. It is believed that both men were taken to hospital by ambulance.
