Drugs and knuckle knife seized.
A member of the public has been praised by police after they alerted police when they witnessed a drug deal. Thanks to the member of public a four-inch-long knuckle knife and Class A drugs have been taken off the streets.
Police attended Rutland Street on Monday afternoon and a man and woman both 47 years old were arrested. When the couple was searched police discovered the unusual knife and class A drugs.
They were both arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug. The man was also arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon. Both of them have been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
