A Grimsby mum left with just 14p in her pocket is overwhelmed by the support she has received from complete strangers. But she wants the thousands of pounds raised in donations for her to go to charity.

Rachel Finn 39 from Grimsby a single mum with just 14p to her name was seen by millions on the BBC. She was seen emptying her pockets to reveal she had just 14p to support her and her son.

The single mum is reliant on temporary accommodation and food parcels. There has been an outpouring of support for her and the food bank she relies on the Rock Foundation.

Rachel is overwhelmed with the support she has received from complete strangers A crowdfunding page-set up to help her which includes a donation from singer Lily Allen has already raised £20,000.

She is asking that all donations be given to the Rock Foundation who will use the money to help her and others with accommodation, food, and furniture.

Rachel became homeless when she fell into rent arrears due to severe depression. She was hit further financially when she was sanctioned by universal credit for missing an appointment.  The Rock Foundation is going to help her with food, furniture, and housing and she asks that anyone who wants to help to do it through the Rock Foundation.
