No more kissing under the mistletoe.
It used to be that cuddling under the mistletoe for a quick kiss was the staple of the office Christmas party.
The tradition is now at risk of dying out because workers say it feels no longer appropriate in the age of MeToo.
In a survey of office staff, nearly three quarters would not dream of suggesting a quick peck. Because of fear of landing in hot water with personnel chiefs.
It’s not the only tradition at risk in these PC times. Almost half of those who answered the survey believe that being tipsy in front of a boss is unprofessional and could get them in trouble. And 28 percent insist that they have never considered using the photocopier inappropriately.
The stereotypically badly behaved office Christmas party is now a thing of the past 86 percent of workers feel.
