New Family Food Larder needs donations of food and other essentials.

The We Are One Foundation has opened a new family food larder to provide fresh wholesome food to struggling and vulnerable families. The We Are One Foundation runs special food kitchens for families and the homeless from St Andrew’s Church on Albion Street, Grimsby.

Families will be able to go and have a cup of tea or coffee and help themselves to whatever food they need. The cafe will be run in a cafe-like atmosphere. A vacuum packing machine is due to arrive soon. And will allow them to freeze and package freshly cooked food for people to take home.

The Co-founder of the We Are One Foundation said that they are expanding their work by launching the new family food larder this week. The aim is to ensure that any families that need a little bit of extra help with their food and groceries, get it in a nice peaceful environment.

To keep the project running they need donations from members of the public otherwise they could run out of food soon. Some families only have a microwave so donations of microwavable food would be greatly appreciated, also nappies, baby wipes, nappy rash cream, and baby food.

You can contact Dave Wells or the We Are One Foundation by visiting their Facebook Page. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so by going to St Andrew’s Church on Albion Street at the junction of Garibaldi Street.
