Update: Couple rescued after getting stuck in the mud.

A man and a woman believed to be from Doncaster had to be rescued by Humberside Coastguard after they became stuck in the mud near the Humber Mouth Yacht Club. Humberside Coastguard were called out at approx 3.30pm yesterday. The couple had taken their dogs for a walk but had turned the wrong way and ended up getting stuck.

They were covered from head to toe in mud and their two dogs were left shivering and shaking. Although the dogs did not get stuck. The couple was stuck in the mud for around 40 mins. Humberside Coastguard released the man quickly but the woman was 30ft away and was stuck deeper and was harder to rescue. The concern was that the tide was coming in and water was coming in around the female.

The couple did not require medical attention. Please take head and be careful where you go walking on the beach, Well done to our local rescue service.
