Two 16-year-olds arrested after threatening a man with a knife.
A member of the public had noticed a gang of youths acting suspiciously near a moped last night around 9pm. It is thought that the motorcycle had been stolen earlier in the evening.It is believed that when he approached the group one of the youths swung what was described as a blade at him. Police attended quickly and the man was not injured.
Police arrested two 16 year olds one of them was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a knife, and also suspicion of theft from a shop and a public order offence.
The other 16 year old was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, burglary and criminal damage.
The boys that were arrested last night are believed to still be in custody.
