Fearless Abseilers Keeps Hull Sparkling

This is not a job for the faint of heart!

These abseilers defy gravity to make sure cladding on Hull City Council’s 26 tower blocks

is kept squeaky clean.

Larry and his colleagues at Industrial Abseiling show no fear as they launch themselves off Hull’s tallest buildings,

such as Hull’s Gatwick House, which around 50 metres tall!

Not only do they need to be brave, they need to be strong too,

with the safety wear alone being 50kg as they carry out their task whilst hanging from the side of a building.

The city’s high rise flats are cleaned in a three-year cycle, with a single block taking about a month to clean

depending on the weather.

Industrial Abseiling includes illustrious buildings include Westminster Abbey,

Westminster Cathedral and Buckingham Palace on its records.
