Residents fed up with speeding traffic want action now after another high-speed crash.
A high-speed motorist ploughed into four parked cars just after midnight yesterday on Brereton Ave, Cleethorpes. It was the latest incident in a number of crashes. Now residents are fed up with people using the road as a race track. It is believed that one of them has erected a barricade using a borrowed wheelie bin to stop drivers and advise them to keep to the 20mph speed limit. North East Lincolnshire Council are due to carry out new road safety measures at the end of the year at a cost of £100,000.
It is believed that a man and woman fled the car following the collision and ran towards Sidney Park. The man has been described as white, with dark hair and wearing grey tracksuit bottoms with a grey hoodie. If you saw anything or have any information that could help. Please call the non-emergency 101 line quoting log number 626 of 0f 01/10/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
