 A victim of crime turned up for a police meeting and gets himself arrested.

Adrian Baker 49 went to the police station in relation to an incident the night before in which he was the alleged victim.  The incident had resulted in the police arresting another person.

But the victim ended up being arrested himself as he had been drinking the night before. When the police smelled alcohol they breath-tested him. The breath test revealed he had 98mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, 35mcg is the legal limit. He admitted drink driving on August 9th at Grimsby Magistrates courts , he had received a previous drink conviction in June 2010.

He is believed to deeply regret his actions he was an alcoholic and alcohol had been a problem in his life for quite some time. It is believed he was an ex-soldier who had served in Bosnia and Northern Ireland and because he had suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder he used alcohol to cope. Adrian Baker of Scunthorpe was given 100 hours of unpaid work, 10 days rehabilitation, alcohol treatment and was banned from driving for four years. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a Government imposed £90 victims surcharge.
