34 pupils were kicked out of schools last year in our area.

A report from North East Lincolnshire Council has revealed that 34 pupils were kicked out of schools in the area last year. Eight pupils were kicked out for attacking teachers last year. One pupil was excluded permanently for an act of sexual misconduct.

Nine children were excluded because of defiance and disobediance, two for dangerous behaviour. and four for drug related incidents. Eight pupils were excluded for physical abuse of a staff member, and for physically abusing another pupil four were excluded.

According to reports from the Council, there is a direct link between children who have been excluded from scholl and an increase in their vulnerability and exposure to negative influences. It is very concerning that educators find themselves being physically or verbally assaulted the National Education Union said.
