Should children be forced to kiss relatives goodbye if they don’t want to?

The co-ordinator of the Sex Education Forum urged parents not to force children to kiss relatives goodbye if they don’t willingly want to do so.

She believes that children need to learn from a young age that it is okay to say what they feel comfortable with when it comes to physical contact.

The research found that a third of young people said that they did not learn about sexual consent in sex education at school. Do you think this should be taught in schools?

Can you remember when you were a child being forced to kiss a relative goodbye when you didn’t want to?

Do you agree that children should not be forced to kiss relatives goodbye?

Is this an issue you have encountered with your children?
