Fire damages house in Healing

Fire has damaged a house in Ford’s Avenue, Healing

At the height of the fire late on Friday afternoon, three Humberside Fire & Rescue Service (HFRS) appliances (at least one from Immingham East) and an ambulance were in attendance.   Thankfully, however, no-one was injured.

There is major damage to the roof of the house, with several large holes visible.  The fire itself was restricted to the attic, largely due to the speedy response by the HFRS.  However, there is water damage to a number of rooms in the house itself.

Mary Vickers moved to North East Lincolnshire in 2010, from the Wiltshire/Hampshire border, to become Urban and Industrial Chaplain NELincs. Made redundant in 2017, she's maintained many of her connections within the business, faith, and other local communities. She's also decided to stay here rather than return to either the south or her husband's native Yorkshire, so that she can continue to enjoy and help promote the positives of NELincs.
