By Grieving mum of Amelia Wood has become an ambassador for Pass it on Organ donation campaign.
Hayley Hodson is now an ambassador for the NHS organ Donation after the tragic death of her 11-year-old daughter Amelia Wood who tragically died last year when a wheel came off a passing truck on the B1200 near Manby.
Hayley Hodson is calling on everybody to talk about organ donation and make their wishes clear to relatives. Several of Amy’s organs were donated following the tragic accident.
The law is about to be changed so that people who die will have their organs donated unless they have opted out. From spring next year all adults in this country will be considered to be an organ donor unless they are in an excluded group or have recorded a decision not to donate.
Hayley can now give talks and will have a promotional stand about organ donation to take to events and advise on the new rules.
She will be campaigning during Organ Donation Week which is between September 2nd and September 8th.
