Cleethorpes Community, Sport and Education is a charity located at the former Trinity Youth Centre in Cleethorpes that operates as a Community Centre. The charity provides a hub which creates opportunities and facilitates community cohesion. The charity is driven to inspire all generations to engage in active and healthy lifestyles through sport, education and physical wellbeing. The charity is determined to create educational opportunities and to enhance the prospects of the community in which it serves.
Cleethorpes Community, Sport and Education Chairman Matthew Brown said “We are honoured and humbled that John and Gary have aggreged to become Patrons of the charity. The board of trustees and myself believe that they both represent what our charity is about: community focused; passionate about giving people a hand up in life; and ensuring we live in a place that helps its community to aspire and achieve. I am sure that having them involved with the charity will enhance the organisations credibility when we bid for funding to build service provision to support our community. I also believe that both John and Gary will provide inspiration to our members with their examples of how to achieve in life for one’s self, as well as achieve for the wider community.”
Andrew Cox Chief Executive of Cleethorpes Community, Sport and Education added “I am delighted that Gary and John are joining the Charity as Patrons. They will provide much needed credibility in the eyes of our members, stakeholders and partners as we seek to expand the opportunities and services the charity is able to provide for the Cleethorpes Community that we all care so passionately about. I am sure they will also provide a lot of enthusiasm and inspiration as we seek to drive the organisation forward. I look forward to working with them both over the next five years.”
