CCTV cameras to catch fly-tippers is useless.
Waste has continued to be dumped in Cope Street with up to forty incidents reported. The CCTV camera that was installed to catch fly-tippers in a Grimsby hotspot is useless. Rubbish has continued to be dumped there. The North East Lincolnshire Council camera at the Victor end of Cope Street is not in view of offenders and is not being monitored and is useless according to Councillor Steve Beasant. Over the last two years, there have been forty incidents of fly-tipping reported in the alleyway off Cope Street. There is a mound of household waste on Cope Street including needles.
It is believed that the Council is investigating the problem and the camera is due to be updated.
