Immingham Library features as part of ‘Library Marathon’

As part of an event to raise the profile of UK Libraries, poet and author Joseph Coelho yesterday visited Immingham Library as part of his ‘Library Marathon’.

The Marathon, which started back in May, will see him join 209 libraries during 2019 to help promote the value of these public spaces.

Joseph’s visit to Immingham saw him register to the Lincs Inspire Library, whilst signing a copy of his children’s book ‘If all the world were…’ and speaking to staff from the branch for his blog.

Lawrence Dunn, Development Officer, Lincs Inspire Libraries said: “It was great to meet Joseph and see his enthusiasm for this project. We are pleased to be part of highlighting the importance of the library services to the communities they serve. Good luck to Joseph for the rest of his marathon!”

Joseph said: “The library marathon is about celebrating these wonderful spaces and encouraging people to join and love their libraries.”

Lincs Inspire Libraries will be hosting a Summer Reading Challenge to help improve children’s reading skills and confidence during the summer holidays. For more information visit lincsinspirelibraries.com.
