Suspected ‘burger burglar’ checks in to custody and gets just dessert

A 39-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences in Hull including two burglaries at burger takeaways and five more offences at a hotel, a dessert takeaway, a homeless hostel and a commercial sign makers.

Colin Graves, 39, of no fixed abode has been charged with five counts of burglary, one of theft and one of intent to steal.

They relate to incidents that occurred between Saturday 25 May and Wednesday 3 July 2019 in the city.

The items stolen included cash, a laptop, clothing, and a mobile phone.

He’s due before Hull Magistrates Court today.
