 A gang was armed with axe machete and knives near a Cleethorpes Park.

Commuters and residents and parents on the school run were left terrified yesterday morning when faced with a gang of young men carrying machete, knives an axe and batons.

Near to Sussex recreation park at 8.15am as parents were taking children to primary school. It is believed one of the men had a black dog which he was struggling to control.

It is believed two gangs with around 15 men squared up to one another. Police attended swiftly and have arrested four people a man and women and two youths. A man has been arrested in connection with public order offences. And two youths and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Humberside Police have additional patrols in the area in order to reassure the public. Their inquiries are ongoing to ascertain the full details surrounding the incident.
