Women are always being warned that men are only after one thing. But many women are only after one thing too. Around a third of women have admitted that they have gone on a date, just so that they could enjoy a free meal. So that woman you’ve been trying to get a date with for ages might only have agreed to go on a date with you because she fancies a free meal.
Those with dark personality traits such as narcissism were much more likely to use a date for free food and find it acceptable.
It was found by psychologists that 33% of women had a foodie call which is when a person agrees to be wined and dined. But have no intention of pursuing a relationship.
