Business, council, voluntary organisations and residents all came together to ensure the Scartho Road Roundabout was renovated and a replacement tree was planted just before Christmas last year. This week, the sponsorship signs have been installed to recognise the money raised for the work.
Cllr’s Lia Nici, Ron Shepherd and Ian Lindley worked with Bacon Engineering, Foresight NEL, Fairfield Fisheries, Village Crafts Scartho, Engie, Scartho Ladies Guild and Scartho residents who all worked together to raise money for the new roundabout.
Cllr Lia Nici said
These are exactly the kinds of successful partnerships that work well in our local areas. The Scartho residents were very sad to see the old cherry tree go and people were determined to come together to see the roundabout have a brand new tree. Thank you to everyone who raised money, with special thanks to our biggest sponsor, Bacon Engineering. Today we’re celebrating the installation of the new sponsorship signs to recognise all of the work done together over the past few months.
