Nine charges following thefts from band at Grimsby Central Hall

A 37-year-old man has been charged with nine separate offences following a number of alleged thefts from a band playing at Grimsby Central Hall earlier this month.

Humberside Police received a report that personal items including purses, bank cards, and cash were stolen from the venue on Duncombe Street on Sunday 12 May.

A set of car keys was also stolen which led to the theft of a high value Mercedes car.

Christian Willoughby, 37, of Salacon Way in Grimsby has now been charged with one count of burglary, three counts of theft, two counts of fraud and one of stealing a car.

He’s also been charge with driving a car without a valid licence and without insurance.

Christian Willoughby has already appeared before Grimsby Magistrates Court.
