Man suffered serious hand injuries in robbery on Wellowgate, Grimsby
Humberside Police were called shortly after 1.30am this morning reporting a robbery of a man in the street on Wellowgate in Grimsby.
The man has told them that he was attacked by three men who cut his hand with a knife and stole his money and mobile phone.
An investigation into the robbery has begun. Local Community Policing Inspector Melville Christie said,
We are in the very early stages of our investigation and are working quickly to progress our enquiries and find those responsible. I know this will concern and worry the local community and I can reassure them that we are doing all we can to support the victim and to find those responsible. I would appeal for anyone who heard or saw anything around 1.30am in the Wellowgate area of Grimsby to call our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 23 07/05/19.”
