Monday 6th May 2019 saw week 1 of Grimsby 501 darts league summer league. Which 20 players signed up but only 17 was able to be in attendance for the first week.
Liam jewitt, Daniel Keaney and ken Smith had work or other commitments.
The night overall saw some great darts thrown, Especially in the 1st game which was Daz Mawer VS Callum Jewitt which during the game Callum hit a tidy 18 dart leg and 2 high finishes of 100 and 110. Daz Mawer added to the standard with the 1st 180 of the summer league. The final score finished 3-3 Both earned a point.
A few new faces to Grimsby 501 darts league was in action tonight 1 being Richard Foster who threw some great darts on his first night hitting a 17 dart leg on 2 different occasions 1 VS Daz mawer in a 3-3 draw in which Daz also hit the tidy 17 dart leg. Richards 2nd 17 dart leg was in a game VS Ash Newbegin in which also involved a 180 and a 4-0 win.
Other new faces Stuart Cox and David East faced off against each other in a game Dave East won 4-2. Dave also played Hayden newbegin on the night but wasn’t so lucky has he lost 4-2 to an inform Hayden. Stuart also played an inform player and the leader after night 1 Callum jewitt and again was in the losing side of the result 4-0.
Lee Burch played another 2 new faces to the league Gary Smith which ended in a 3-3 draw and Graham field in a game Graham won 4-1. Grahams winning was unfortunately came to an end when he faced Hayden and Hayden won 4-1.
Stewart May had a mixed night result wise as he lost 4-2 vs John riches but pulled off a 4-2 win in a closely contested game VS Gary Smith. John riches went on to also defeat Daz mawer in a fame Daz hit the best dart leg of the night with 16 darts but that wasn’t enough as John won 4-2.
Tony Newbegin had a mixed night too as he lost 4-0 in the early fixture VS ash newbegin but won 4-0 against Alicia Briggs.
The last game of the night was Laura Dwyer VS Jordan Waller which ended 3-3 and each earned their first point of the night.

Grimsby 501 darts league have a dart event on Thursday 15th August 2019. To raise funds for our sponsors bobbie’s prize bingo Grimsby to fit a defibulator outside the venue of the scout hut hall Carr lane Grimsby. This is a sponsored event and we welcome any person wishing to help us in the quest to make this happen to join us either by playing or showing your support on the night at birdseye sports and social club ladysmith road Grimsby between the hours of 7pm and 11.30pm.
