Criminals with minor offences could be given a clean slate.

 

Criminals convicted of minor offences are to be given a clean slate.

Under New Home Office plans  criminals convicted of minor offences will have the slate wiped clean.

This will hopefully increase their chances of getting a job.

The Home Secretary has announced that he is reviewing a rule. The rule that allows bosses to find out their employees prospective criminal pasts.

Under current rules, it states that job seekers with criminal convictions. Will automatically have them revealed to interviewers if they have got more than one.

Under new plans, crimes like drug possession, thefts or minor assaults, would not be disclosed to employers by the Governments disclosure and barring service as a matter of course.
