Spring starting with a full supermoon

Spring starting with a full supermoon

The March 2019 equinox this year coincides with the March 20-21 full moon which is the first full moon of spring for us here in the Northern Hemisphere – and it’s a supermoon.

Catch the moon on Wednesday, March 20th just after it has risen in the east at around sunset as this is when supermoons can look bigger to some people and also look brighter.

There will also be higher-than-usual tides to follow the supermoon for a few days as supermoons also have a stronger-than-usual effect on the Earth’s oceans.
