Police say woman has “fallen from a window”
Humberside Police have issued an update after a section of Freeman Street was cordoned off at around 7.30am this morning.
A spokesperson has confirmed that officers are investigating after a woman was reported to have “fallen from a first-floor window”.
The woman involved was taken to hospital.
Fortunately, her injuries are not thought to be serious.
A spokesperson said: “Officers are in attendance at a property on Freeman Street, Grimsby following reports of a disturbance at 5:40am this morning (Thursday 28 October).
“Upon attending it is discovered that a woman had fallen from a first-floor window of the premises.
“The woman was taken to hospital to receive treatment for a head injury which thankfully is not thought to be serious.”
Two men have now been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police remain at the scene and have sealed off the area between Riby Square and Kent Street.
Humberside Police have issued the following appeal:
“Two men have now been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries continue to ascertain the circumstances that led to the fall.
“A scene guard remains in place and we ask members of the public to avoid the area.
“We are now appealing to anybody who may have been in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident to call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 67.”
